About Our 2021 Summer Camps

Students can participate in fun, engaging, and hands-on STEM activities like designing a strategic escape room, outdoor wilderness shelter survival, game design, learning about the Olympics through our Amazing Race Challenge, physics egg drop experiment, creating exploding volcanoes, testing different slime recipes, entrepreneurship and business development as seen on Shark Tank, play strategic board games, learn how to code video games with programs like Tynker, FlowLab, and Scratch, join in the competitive action during our PE games and WiiFit. We will also offer fitness activities and active outings, such as walking field trips to eat lunch at a nearby park or cafe, community service opportunities, and more!

In addition to participating in specific camp theme activities, students will also participate each day to complete a “growth mindset” project. This project will be completed throughout the summer. Students who participate in all of our summer camps will bring home a completed booklet filled with goals and achievable steps to reach those goals at the end of the summer. This incredible project will help children learn to begin each day with a grateful and positive attitude based on substance, not fluff. Children will focus on improving their attitude, strengthening their determination to succeed, and changing the way they view challenges.

10:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m (remote)

Waiver and Consent

Consent to Treatment for Emergency Medical and Dental: I hereby give consent to American Academy and its employees and volunteers to obtain all emergency medical or dental care as is deemed necessary for my child. This care may be given under whatever conditions are necessary to preserve the life, limb, or well-being of the child.(required)

Insurance Disclaimer: American Academy does not carry health or accident insurance on its participants. All expenses incurred in the treatment of illness, injuries, or accidents will be the responsibility of the participant and his/her parents. I have read, understand, and accept the above conditions.(required)

Consent to Photograph Release: My signature grants permission to American Academy the right to use and copyright photographs and video footage of my child without restriction for any professional purpose such as, but not limited to, promotion, advertising, and public relations. I hereby release and discharge American Academy and all affiliates from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel.(required)

Cancellation and Refund: I understand that I am holding a spot so reservations for this camp are nonrefundable. If my child is unable to attend I understand that I can transfer to a friend.(required)

Food Restrictions at the Academy: My child will not bring any snacks or food to the Academy that contain peanuts.(required)

COVID-19 RISKS: I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure my own (student's own) safety. I understand that by entering the academy during a health pandemic may result in contracting COVID-19, which may be spread to my family, which may result in severe illness, hospitalization and/or death. I waive liability against and hold harmless the academy and its staff, volunteers, vendors, and agents relating to the contraction of COVID-19 to myself or my family.(required)
