American Academy high school students are independent thinkers with an ability to self-direct their studies. Students may attend the Academy 3, 4 or 5 days a week and work on their courses using the California State approved curriculum of their choice or one of ours.

American Academy High School students will also attend weekly career and college readiness workshops to dream, plan and prepare for what happens after graduation. Weekly instructor-led Life Skills covering such topics as budgeting, nutrition, household management, basic sewing, basic tool use, time management, becoming a mentor, personal boundaries, coping skills give students the opportunity to connect with each other as they learn and practice these new skills. High school students are welcome to also participate in our field trips and other parties and social gatherings.
