Upcoming Field Trip: 2/3 (Fri) – Moulton Museum
February Field Trip – Moulton Museum
Our visit to the Moulton Museum will give us an experience of the origins of South Orange County. We will be learning about the pioneer history of OC with Nellie Gail and the Moulton Family who established their ranch in the 1800s. Today, the land comprises much of Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and Aliso Viejo.
We will learn what it was like to live on ranch land. Farmers, ranch hands, and blacksmiths built the barns, sheds, foreman’s houses, and bunkhouses. We will expand the children’s collective understanding of the ranching era and its lasting impact on the economic, social, architectural and cultural fabric of Orange County.
We will explore the museum’s exhibits, enjoy interactive activities, and make a craft.
Please download their Free Interactive App to fully enjoy your visit.
